SAYING GOODBYE
ROSE GARDEN
Dawn is breaking with dew on the
ground
Lilacs and pinks fill the sky
Sounds of a new day just begun
Fill the perfumed air as the day draws nigh
A rose unfurls in the damp mist of morning
The petals open shedding tears
Resplendent beauty in the morning sun
Reaching upward as warmth slowly nears
The heart of a rose is a life nearly over
Petals flutter onto the ground
A scent remains a lingering fragrance
The rose dies without a sound

Hi, I hope you enjoy a trip through my perennial
garden. I loved sitting here for hours watching the birds and butterflies. Springtime meant rows of deep purple Irises, next to bright yellow day lilies Beds of huge red oriental poppies, nine colors of lupins, plus tons of other flowers In the fall you'll see eight colors of phlox, small, large and giant dahlas, cosmos, black eyed Susan's and lots more
