Figgy Pudding
½ lb. dried figs
1 ¼ cup bread crumbs
1 cup chopped walnuts or blanched almonds
1 cup light brown sugar
½ cup candied grapefruit peel
1/3 cup candied lemon peel
3 Tablespoons melted butter
4 beaten eggs
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
Chop figs into small pieces, mix with breadcrumbs, add nuts and remaining ingredients. Place mixture into a greased mold and steam for 2 ½ hours, or bake in a 325 degree oven for 1 hour.
