Service Berry Bush

These bushes maynot look like much to the casual observer, but they are extremely valuable to the bird population.

Being the earliest bush to bear berries in the spring, flocks of birds arrive to wait for their berries to ripen.

It's not uncommon to see large flocks of waxwings, grossbeaks, plus many other varieties. I have made a large effort to encourage others to grow these bushes and have dozens throughout the gardens.
